GravityDropper seatposts are made of high quality material and offer a 1 year limited warranty against component defects. Components that have been damaged or neglected by the purchaser are not covered under warranty. Prior authorization is required prior to returning for warranty replacement. Shipping and handling charges are not covered by the warranty. With that said. Customer service is extremely important to us. We believe in our product. So far,any customer that has a broken part that was not due to damage or neglect, we have replaced the part, even if it was a post bought 4 years ago.
The Standard Up/Down post has 2 positions, UP an Down. The mulitiposition as the same 2 positions, but has a 3rd position that is located 1 inch down from your up position. A 3 inch multiposition would have Up, down 1 inch, and down another 2 inches. The 4 inch multi would have Up, down 1 inch, and down another 3 inches.
If you have never lowered your seat before, you will definetly feel the difference. You can experiment by lowering your seat post by 3 or 4 inches. This can be especially useful when you encounter steep descents, ledges, loose terrain, tight single-track, drop-offs, switchbacks, logs or other elements in the trail.
