Warning!

*Seat post has strong compression spring. When it is in the compressed position, pulling the pin will cause post to expand rapidly into the “raised position.”

* Make sure to use the enclosed rubber boot to keep mud and water out. When storing for extended periods, keep in the up position.

Mounting instructions

  1. Remove existing post from the bike. Clean and check for deformations and burrs.
  2. If your bike does not use a 27.2 size seat post. Insert proper shim.
  3. Insert Descenderpost into bike. The post can be positioned with unit facing forward or backward.
  4. Install seat on the post and tighten slightly
  5. Position the seat height to desired height and tighten seat-clamp. Make sure you have inserted the post at least 3.0 inches into the seat tube on your bicycle so as not to damage post or bicycle frame.

Operating your seat post

Warning: Do not attempt aggressive riding until you are totally familiar with the operation and function of the seat post. Note: You will become familiar with this simple procedure quickly with practice.

Warning: Descenderpost requires you to remove your hand from the handlebars if you attempt to operate while riding. This should be performed by riders only in situations where it is safe to remove your hand. (Similar to removing hand for reaching for water-bottle).

To lower seat post- Pull knob and hold while pushing or sitting down on the seat, release knob when seat begins to lower. Seat is now locked in down position.

To Raise seat post- If sitting on seat, pull knob, and standup. As seat rises, release knob. If standing, Pull knob and seat will rapidly rise into upward position. Warning: Make sure you are positioned far enough above the seat so as not to be contacted by the rising seat. Seat will now be locked in up position.
